Gordian III, 238-244. Antoninianus (Silver, 23 mm, 4.20 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular mint, after 238. IMP CΛES M ΛNT GORDIΛNVS ΛVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. FIDES MILITVM Fides standing front, head to left, holding signum in her right hand and scepter in her left. Cf. Cohen 86 and RIC 1 (for prototype). Lightly toned. Harshly cleaned and somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
